Unremarkable: Breakfast

This past spring I had the opportunity to create a fictional literary journal with classmates while taking Literary Publishing and Editing. Throughout the class we learned about what it means to be an editor along with the many hurdles that come with publishing.

This magazine was heavily inspired by Taco Bell Quarterly — a literary magazine that publishes work that reference Taco Bell in any way, shape, or form. We wanted something that could bring in poetry, artwork, and prose of many forms. Whether that be hilarious or deeply upsetting. So, Unremarkable: Breakfast was born.

Our vision was to show readers how something as unremarkable as breakfast could hold a special place to everyone.

*Disclaimer: I do not own these works, they were happily submitted to my classmates along with myself for publication in this project. The last names of all authors have been removed to maintain privacy.
